sorry, yes your right, what he does do is push his king pawn forward, if you take he trades of queens and that’s good game for black

u you ok ?
Comment by MrKristoyaseMr — March 18, 2010 @ 4:19 pm
what u talking about? pawns can’t attack forward.
Comment by ilikebeer — March 18, 2010 @ 5:08 pm
@MrKristoyaseMr Retreat it to h4. If he attacks the bishop with g7 pawn, retreat your bishop to g3. Congratulations, you have broken your opponents pawn structure and made it sort of impractical for him to castle king side.

He uses a free program called chessbase light. Just google it and you can download it no problem, no money.

LOL 6:15 “most times you do not notice you locked your bishops in with your pawns until you try to activate them later…”
Comment by Jesmomi1 — March 18, 2010 @ 11:03 pm
play B-h4. if he counters with g5, play your only remaining move. the bad side is you’re moving you bishop too much in the opening, but nonetheless it’s free. meanwhile, he’s messing up his pawn structure on the king side. eventually playing e3 and freeing your knight, bishop, and queen, you should have a huge advantage in position.

What can I do, if he defends his c4 with b-e3 ?
Comment by baumstamm228 — March 18, 2010 @ 11:45 pm
When white plays Bg5 then black h6 what do you do?
Comment by legendkilla9x9 — March 19, 2010 @ 12:22 am
True! Yet, pause your screen at ± 6:42. White is making a move to control the center. By making move H7 to H6, black gives up an important defence of E4-square ànd D4-square!
( I’m not that experienced, so I hope this explanation is valid.. )

Interesting. But there is a unique alternative: Mixed Up Martial Arts – ChessBoxing -Brainy Fight Night
Comment by RoadToAnywhere — March 19, 2010 @ 1:24 am
That pinned horse can easily be avoided by black with pawn 6h am I right?

Comment by darrenanthonyjohn — March 19, 2010 @ 2:28 am
Thanks moomrider and aspark58. I guess I’ll go look up the slav defense.
Comment by mu99ins — March 19, 2010 @ 3:05 am
“slav”, not “slave” – not the same, though etymologically linked
Comment by aspark58 — March 19, 2010 @ 3:07 am
he said its a slave defence
Comment by moomrider — March 19, 2010 @ 3:56 am
Question-
After the white move Bg5, one possible move for black is c6. This is called a “flavescence”?…I couldn’t quite make out the term. What was this term he used, and what does it mean?
