Chess.com: Gelfand goes Berserk

A white player needing just a draw to achieve a desired result– this is a pretty common scenario in professional chess, and we usually see very solid games where the opponent is given few if any hopes of winning. Not so this game by Boris Gelfand en route to winning the 2009 World Cup. In that situation, his usually solid style somehow gave way to aggression and a deep positional sacrifice.
